Grapefruit & Strawberry Juice - A Vitamin C Infused Tonic

Grapefruit are up there with some of the most alkaline fruits. They are packed with vitamin C, and combined with some strawberries and mint, make for the most delicious immune boosting juice.

  • 2 pink grapefruit, halved and juiced
  • 4-5 medium sized strawberries, top cut off and quartered
  • 4 generous sprigs of mint, leaves removed from the stalk and roughly chopped
  • ½ a cup (120ml) water or a generous handful of ice
  1. Add the grapefruit juice, strawberries, mint and water (or ice) to a blender and blitz until smooth. Mint leaves do not tend to break down so well in a blender but I like to have a little textural burst of mint here and there - looks pretty too!
  2. Drink immediately in a glass or serve for breakfast/brunch in a jug with a few slices of ginger added.
